Dordwijk

Dordwijk was created around 1635 as a country estate for wealthy urbanites who wanted to flee the city. In the 19th century, landscape architect Zocher Jr. transformed the park into the English landscape style. The 'Victorian Kitchen Garden' is a special feature, where old fruit and vegetable varieties and herbs are cultivated using traditional methods. After the estate was a closed nature reserve for a while, it is now possible to make circular walks around the estate led by IVN guides.
