Huis Overcinge
Huis Overcinge is a monumental mansion in the Drenthe town of Havelte. It was originally a fief of the Gelderse house Putten near Elburg and was already mentioned in the early 14th century. In the 15th century, the De Vos van Steenwijk family was feudal lord of the estate. The current house Overcinge, however, is of a much later date. In the 17th century, the loan was in the hands of the Struuck family. The landscape writer of Drenthe, Johan Struuck, has had the existing buildings demolished and two new buildings built. According to Van der Veen, however, his father, Deputy Gerhardt Struuck from Drenthe, was the principal of Overcinge.
