Recreatieschap Alkmaarder- en Uitgeestermeer

The Alkmaarder- and Uitgeestermeer consists of 660 hectares of water and is a so-called twin lake. The southern part is the Uitgeestermeer and the northern part Alkmaardermeer. The lake is basin water to which the surrounding polders drain their excess water. There are many recreational facilities on and around the lake. You can swim, surf, sail, sail, water ski and canoe.
