Kampeerterrein Linie van de Munnikenhof

The Linie van de Munnikenhof is a system of earthen walls and canals. Although built as a fortification, it was never fought. Only in 1944 a few German troops dug in here. Polish troops from Breda immediately chased them away with flamethrowers. The Line, built in 1701, was part of the Zuiderfrontier, a frontier to protect the area between Breda and Geertruidenberg. Together with the Linie van Den Hout and the Spinolaschans, this is now a beautiful nature reserve where you can enjoy walking.
