Treinstation Wierden

Wierden station is located on the railway line between Zwolle and Almelo where you can easily reach with a Blauwnet sprinter and then enjoy a wonderful trip. Wierden is about 10 kilometers from the Sallandse Heuvelrug. A beautiful area for walking and cycling via the marked walking and cycling routes. But a visit to the Holten Canadian War Cemetery, which is one of the largest military cemeteries in the Netherlands, is certainly worthwhile. You can find this on the Holtenberg, about 13 km from the station. After which you can continue your walk or bike ride in the Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park. Plenty to do and discover.
