Kloosterkerk

As early as 1904 it was proposed to found a church and monastery in North Holland. After consultation with the Bishop in Haarlem, the approval was granted. The location will be in the middle of the area where the Catholics had practically completely disappeared with the Reformation, namely Nieuwe Niedorp. The choice was a plot of land outside the village itself. The church was part of the parish't Veld for the first few years. The construction period was one year from 1906, after which the church and the monastery were completed in 1907. In the first years 29 families with 135 souls fell under the care of the Kloosterkerk. During Open Monument Day, the church is open on Saturdays and Sundays.
