Tour of Rottemeren in the Green Heart

Your route starts at Restaurant de Berghut. You first cycle along the Zevenhuizerplas, a lake created by sand extraction. Then you drive along the Rottemeren. From the path you have a beautiful view of reed beds, rippling water and the wide surroundings. At the Zevenhuizer Verlaat you can see the Eendrachtsmolen, a polder mill from 1727. Further along the Rotte you can see four beautiful eighteenth-century polder mills. In Moerkapelle you pass the beautiful village church from 1622. Between nodes 53 and 52 you cycle along the Bentwoud, a young nature reserve. In Waddinxveen you pass the beautiful Brugkerk from 1837, then you drive to the historic heart of Gouda. It seems as if you have landed here a few centuries back in time, with all those beautiful old buildings!
