Tour of Poperinge

When you say Poperinge, you think: beer and hops. During this cycling route of over 44 kilometers you will get to know Poperinge and the surrounding area of this city. There are numerous hop fields in Poperinge. The start of this cycle route is at Burgemeester Bertenplein in Poperinge. A little later you cycle past the Lijssenthoek Visitor Center. During the cycle route you will pass the St. Bernardus Brewery. The gigantic building of the St. Bernardus Brewery towers above the landscape between Abele and Watou. Since September 2018, you can enjoy a 360° panoramic view of Poperinge, the hop fields and the villages in their catering business Bar Bernard on the fourth floor. You will of course also enjoy their beers and a visit to the brewery. A lot of hops are grown in this region of Belgium. The Hop Museum is also located in Poperinge. This museum focuses on hop cultivation in Poperinge.
