First you drive through Lichtenvoorde, a cozy place where you can admire the St. Boniface's Church from 1913. In the countryside you immediately experience the tranquility that the Achterhoek is known for. A nice downshift, while you cycle along meadows and fields. You can relax well here.
Korenburgerveen
Just before Zieuwent you pass a Maria chapel from 1946, in the center of the village is the Sint-Werenfriduskerk from 1899. You cycle further through the Achterhoek countryside on winding roads where there are hardly any cars. You regularly see a beautiful old thatched farmhouse. You also drive along the edge of the Korenburgerveen. You cannot drive through this raised moor area by bike, so get off the bike to enjoy the unique natural beauty on foot.
