Reeuwijk walking route: Oud-Reeuwijk and Reeuwijk-Dorp

This route starts at Deli Lounge in Reeuwijk. From Reeuwijk you can take a beautiful walk through old hamlets in the area. First you walk from Reeuwijk-Burg on a quiet path through the polders. Here you can enjoy the views over vast meadows and ditches. You pass through Reeuwijk-Dorp, where you can admire the Petrus & Paulus Church and the adjacent parsonage from 1889. A beautiful historic spot. From junction 13 you walk through Oud-Reeuwijk, a hamlet where most plots are surrounded by ditches and canals. You will see some charming bridges and farms here. Then you walk along a leafy path along the Reeuwijkse Plassen. Here you have a beautiful view of the lakes that were created in the eighteenth century by peat extraction. What a variety!
