The final section of the route takes you through the Zijpe and Hazepolder, an area where the raised bog was reclaimed between the thirteenth and sixteenth centuries using a perfectly straight plot pattern. You'll pass characteristic farmhouses, polder mills, and two old pontoon bridges. You'll also pass through the Mennonietenbuurt, a settlement founded by Mennonites in the eighteenth century. You'll make a pit stop at Restaurant de Watersnip before returning to Petten.
