Impressive walking route through historic Noordwijk and Noordwijkerhout

This route starts at the Vuurtorenplein but soon goes straight through the beautiful dune area. When you walk the route, you will soon see the Atlantic Wall Museum Noordwijk on your left. This is a museum set up in a World War II bunker. By means of an exhibition in this bunker and a visit to the corridor system, you can get a good idea of what life was like in the bunker during the Second World War. And you will learn how the European coast was transformed into a fortress by the Germans. In the summer you can take a tour of the bunker on a few Sundays (book in advance).

After you have reached the Langervelderslag, the route goes via the Oosterduinsemeer to the center of Noordwijkerhout. This can be recognized by the White Church. From Noordwijkerhout, the route continues through flower fields to the historic core of Noordwijk-Binnen. Noordwijk Binnen has a wealth of history. Many national monuments show eight centuries of Noordwijk history. An enormous variation from the robust church tower from the thirteenth century to the bulb sheds from the early twentieth century. You can climb the robust tower of the old Jeroenskerk every Saturday during the summer season. Experience the history of Noordwijk from a great height! The route continues towards the beautiful"Villawijk de Zuid\\\" and to the Koningin Astrid Boulevard. The route continues via the Koningin Wilhelmina Boulevard back to the Vuurtorenplein.
