Tour of the Frisian Wouden and the Bergumermeer

From here you can take a tour around the Bergumermeer. On the edge of Bergum you will pass the Kruiskerk. This church originally dates from the thirteenth century. You drive further, through the characteristic small-scale bocage landscape of the Frisian Forests. A setting of forests, hedgerows, grasslands and winding streams. You will also see many characteristic cross-house farms and monumental buildings. And of course beautiful centuries-old churches, such as in Eastermar. You ride back to Hurdegaryp over winding cycle paths.
