Description
Start at the vantage point of the Veluwezoom, pass the visitor center and then go deeper into the national park in search of red deer.
Posbank
After a cup of coffee at Paviljoen de Posbank you set off. Right in front of the door you will discover one of the most beautiful places in the Veluwezoom National Park: the Posbank viewpoint, at a height of 90 metres. Here you can enjoy a magnificent view up to the hills of Nijmegen. Soon you come to a nice place to interrupt your walk: Brasserie Veluwezoom. After a"Heidelunch\\\" (healthy sandwich, croquette, organic juice) you can get back to it!
red deer
Before you continue walking, walk into the Veluwezoom visitor center, which includes the brasserie. Here you will learn everything about this special area. Did you know, for example, that up to 250 red deer live here? The deeper you go into nature, the more chance you have of encountering them. Who knows, you might spot them in the second part of the walk, there is still a lot of forest and heathland on the program today!
