Het Anker Bar & Food

Bornsestraat 43
7597 NH Dinkelland

Het Anker is now one of the most famous places in Twente. In sunny weather it is a relaxed hang out where nice music comes from the speakers. While the children are having fun in the playground, you can enjoy a cup of coffee, a delicious wine or try one of our (special) beers on tap with a relaxed feeling. A little less nice weather? Then come into the renovated restaurant (2020) and we will let you enjoy real Twente hospitality. You have also come to the right place for group activities, buffets and combination packages. Flexibility with tailor-made arrangements, almost everything is possible at Het Anker! The Anker Bar & Food of the Franken Volmerink family is more than 100 years of tradition and hospitable craftsmanship!

Kasteel Grotenhuis

Lodiek Landen
7626 NA Borne

The name suggests otherwise, but this was a relatively small manor. In the 17th century, Grotenhuis was nicknamed 'The Haunted House'. Catholic worship services were then held in the house and it was said that people around the house were haunted with white sheets over them to disrupt the mass. The current Grotenhuis farm is built on the foundations of the old manor.

De Soaseler Möl

Soaseler Möl
7597LX Dinkelland

The Soaseler M? L was built in 1870 as a replacement for an earlier mill that stood on this site. That mill was destroyed by a storm. The Soaseler M? L is a flour mill that was used to make flour for a long time. The mill was restored for the first time in 1951. This restoration allowed the mill to run better, but the appearance of the mill did not improve. In 1977 the mill was transferred to the Soaseler M? L Foundation on the condition that the mill would be repaired within 7 years to make the mill operational again. The mill had been out of operation for a long time by then. In 1979 the mill was fully restored and ready for use. In 2013 the mill was provided with new stucco and new jointing. The current miller now and then runs the mill during mill days. The Soaseler M? L is the highest point in the rural village of Saasveld, but the mill is not immediately visible in the village. The mill is a bit out of sight between the corn.
