Along the Biljoen Estate and the Veluwezoom Visitor Center

The Veluwezoom is so beautiful! Those hills covered with heather and forest really give you a foreign feeling. Nearby you will find another beautiful spot: Biljoen Estate.

Billion Castle
The base of this route is Buitenplaats Beekhuizen in the middle of the Veluwezoom National Park. Here you can camp comfortably all year round in spacious Lodge tents or Pods, all with private sanitary facilities. Even if you don't spend the night here, you can visit the pop-up restaurant WOODZ to experience the atmosphere. It's a beautiful place! The surroundings are equally beautiful. In Velp, for example, you cycle past Biljoen Castle, built around 1530 by the Duke of Gelre.

Veluwezoom visitor center
You continue cycling through the Biljoen Estate, now owned by the Geldersch Landschap and Geldersche Kasteelen Foundation. It was owned by, among others, Louis the Fourteenth. What makes the estate so special is that it has never been divided. A very authentic landscape, which you also see in the sometimes very rare plant and animal species that occur there. You cycle back through the beautiful rolling hills and heathland, via the Veluwezoom Visitor Center.
