The route starts in Sas van Gent, a former fortified town near the Belgian border. You will find a nice atmosphere here. You can also admire some beautiful buildings, such as the Assumption Church on the Market from 1892. On the other side of the Ghent-Terneuzen Canal you cycle through a vast landscape of meadows, dikes and rows of trees. The creeks are also not lacking, you drive along the Axelse Kreek, which originated in 1790. In Zaamslag you will pass the town hall from 1904 and the Protestant Church from 1898. You can get off at Taste Churchill for a pit stop. Enjoy a drink and a tasty meal at your leisure before driving back into the polder. Via Sluiskil you drive back to Sas van Gent.
