De Banken is a dune area located on the Westland dune coast in 's-Gravenzande. The Delfland Water Board has previously named De Banken as 'water pearl': waters with a special natural value. Dune area De Banken has a rich breeding bird population, but it is also important for plants, mushrooms (including wash plates), insects and amphibians. From this viewpoint you have a beautiful view over the greenhouses that have been built up to the dunes.
