Brielse Meer
The route starts on the edge of Oostvoorne, a beautiful village. You can drive straight into Voornes Duin from the parking lot. You pass the shore of the Oostvoornse Meer, a nice place to have a dip on the beach. Then you drive along the leafy shore of the Brielse Meer. What a beautiful place to cycle here!
Voornes Dune
In the polders you drive past grassy fields, ditches and rows of trees. Get some fresh air, so that you leave the everyday routine behind. Just past Nieuwenhoorn you pass Fort Noorddijk, the fortress was built in 1884. Finally, you drive back into Voornes Duin: one of the most species-rich dune areas in Western Europe. In addition to beautiful dunes, you will find flower-rich grasslands, moist valleys and dune forests here. So much variety in such a small area makes your bike ride extra beautiful.
