Description
Appelscha is an ideal base to discover the beauty of the Drents-Friese Wold National Park. You will also pass through Diever, a beautiful Drenthe esdorp.
Schultehuis
Diever is a village worth seeing: on the Brink you can see some characteristic monumental Saxon farms. The former Schultehuis dates back to 1604. The Sint-Pancratiuskerk is also located here. This building originally dates from the twelfth century.
Witches' Farm
From Diever you can easily cycle back into the woods. In the Drenthe part of the Drents-Friese Wold you can also cycle many beautiful kilometres through a mosaic of forest, heathland and stream valleys. How wonderfully peaceful it is to cycle here! Ideal for a day of really unwinding. On the edge of Appelscha you will pass the Heksehoeve, a special outing for young and old.
