Fancy a short walk before enjoying a nice meal? Then come and take this detour through Someren-Eind and the surrounding area.
The Peel
You walk a bit through Someren-Eind, a mining village that originated in the Peel in the mid-nineteenth century. The entire Peel (about 30,000 hectares) once consisted of wasteland. Now you walk between fields and grasslands. Ideal for a relaxing day.
Ah
You cross the Aa twice, a stream that rises a little further in Ospel and eventually flows into the Dieze in Den Bosch. On this route there is a wetland area around the Aa that is covered with deciduous trees. It is wonderfully quiet walking on unpaved paths. Put on waterproof shoes, the path can be muddy at times.
