Ravels Regional Forest
While stretching your legs, you can admire several beautiful houses and farms. You cycle along the main avenue through the Ravels Regional Forest. A wide variety of coniferous and deciduous trees can be found in this nature reserve. Just before Oosthoven, you ride through a beautiful area with streams and grasslands.
Turnhout Fen Area
Next, you ride along the leafy Dessel-Turnhout Canal. You enter the Turnhout Fen Area: a large nature reserve characterized by heathland, fens, and tranquility. In this area, you pick up the Bels Lijntje: a former railway line between Turnhout and Tilburg. It is wonderful to cycle along this cycle path. You pass an observation tower; climb it for a beautiful panorama.
