Description
This route takes you through the outskirts of Goes. A nice trip through the wide polders of Zuid-Beveland, where you also visit some worth seeing villages.
Oosterschenge
Soon you drive through the beautiful Wissekerke, further on you cycle through's-Heer Hendrikskinderen. Just past junction 60, you can look out over the Oosterschenge from the Deltaweg: the remains of an estuary that separated the former island of Wolphaartsdijk from the rest of Zuid-Beveland.
Veer Lake
Further on you drive along the dike on the Veerse Meer. You can climb it for a nice view. From afar you can already see De Hoop: a flour mill from 1808 in Wolphaartsdijk. Further on you pass De Weel: a former tidal channel that was diked in 1649. Along the water you look out over reed beds and grasslands. At the ring road in's-Heer Arendskerke you can see the medieval Petruskerk.
