Walking through the forest near Waalre

Brasserie Meester Keeman is the starting point of this beautiful walking route through Waalre and through nature. Enjoy a delicious lunch here before walking onto the Market. Here you can see the Sint-Willibrorduskerk from 1925. Its predecessor is a little further on: the nave of the Oude Sint-Willibrorduskerk originally dates from the twelfth century and was built in Romanesque style. Just above Waalre you walk through the Meerberg nature reserve. You mainly walk between fragrant conifers here, you also pass a field with heather. Then you walk over the Bels Lijntje: the former railway line Winterslag-Eindhoven. Via a leafy residential area you walk into the municipal forest. Here you pass the Meertjesven, among other things. Finally, you pass the Waalres Museum, which is located in a former linen factory from 1861.
