Description

Brasserie Meester Keeman is the starting point of this beautiful walking route through Waalre and through nature. Enjoy a nice lunch here before you walk onto the Market. Here you see the St. Willibrordus Church from 1925. Its predecessor is a little further away: the nave of the Old St. Willibrordus Church originally dates from the twelfth century and is built in Romanesque style. Just above Waalre you walk through the Meerberg nature reserve. Here you mainly walk between fragrant conifers, and you also pass a field of shrub heath. Then you walk on the Bels Lijntje: the former Winterslag-Eindhoven railway route. You enter the municipal forest through a leafy residential area. Here you will pass, among other things, the Meertjesven. Finally, you will pass the Waalres Museum, which is located in a former linen factory from 1861.
