Relax in the Achterhoek

Cycling in the Achterhoek is an ideal way to relax for a day. You will find plenty of peace and natural beauty here. In Ruurlo and Eibergen you will find some places of interest.

Klumpot
Just outside Eibergen you can relax at Hotel De Kastanjefabriek. After a refreshing night, you'll have plenty of energy for a bike ride through the beautiful Achterhoek countryside. At Shortgolf Berkelland you can grab a cozy terrace. What immediately stands out here: the silence! And the lovely small-scale landscape with its old farms. You pass through the village of Haarlo, where the octagonal monumental church is called De Kluntjespot (sugar bowl) by the residents.

Picturesque Ruurlo
You will also cycle through Ruurlo, a pleasant town with a beautiful historic core. Here you can see, among other things, the fourteenth-century Dorpskerk. You can also see Molen Agneta here, a wood and corn mill from 1851 that was named after a lady from the family that lived in Kasteel Ruurlo for centuries. After many beautiful kilometers in the countryside you drive through Eibergen. Here you can see, among other things, the beautiful Old Matthew Church from 1500.
