Description
Between Rosmalen and Heesch in Brabant it is nice to walk through the rural area around Vinkel. Put on your sturdy shoes and come and relax here.
Big Wetering
You walk along a car-free road past fields and meadows. You walk a bit through the forest of the Hooge Heide nature reserve. Further on you walk along the footpath along the Grote Wetering, a watercourse dug by monks in the thirteenth century.
Old farms
You will also walk through Munnekens-Vinkel, a hamlet that was founded by hermits (munnekens) around the twelfth century. In the hamlet of Berkt you will see some beautiful old farms, after which you walk back into the fields. It is wonderfully quiet here, so you can relax and chat with your fellow hiker(s).
