Enjoy between Maas and Waal

Cycling between Maas and Waal is wonderful. First you drive through Bergharen, where you can admire some beautiful old farms and the St. Anne's Church from 1894. You drive through the polders on car-free roads, while enjoying the peace and space. From the Maasdijk you look out over the floodplains and the Maas. In Appeltern you pass two churches in quick succession: the Hall Church from 1858 and the St. Servatius Church from 1907. You drive north through the polder. You pass fruit orchards and monumental farms. From the Waalbankdijk you have a beautiful view of the Drutense Waarden, further on you have beautiful views of the Afferdense and Deestse Waarden. You pass the Drie Wuiven, a flour mill from 1869.
