Walking from Stellendam to Goedereede

From Stellendam you walk to the historic village of Goedereede. A beautiful walk that also takes you through the varied countryside.

Stellebos
At't Wapen van Stellendam you can enjoy a drink and a bite to eat at your leisure before setting off. You will soon pass the Bosschieterstraat on the left: if you walk down this street for about 100 metres, you can admire the beautiful village church from 1819. Further on you will walk a bit through the Stellebos, a nature reserve that was created in 1978. In the countryside you will walk along an old dike, vast meadows and along the leafy bank of the Spui.

Beautiful Goedereede
Along the old harbour you walk through the historical heart of Goedereede. In this small town you can easily experience the atmosphere of times gone by because of the many well-preserved buildings. No wonder Goedereede enjoys a protected cityscape! Here you can see, among other things, the fifteenth-century Goedereede Lighthouse. You also pass the De Windvang mill from 1791. The last part of the route you walk through the polder and along the Slikken van Flakkee.
