Walking from Stellendam to Goedereede

From Stellendam you walk to the historic village of Goedereede. A beautiful trip that also leads you through the varied countryside.

Stellebos
At't Wapen van Stellendam you can enjoy a drink and snack before you set off. Soon you pass the Bosschieterstraat on the left: if you walk into this about 100 meters, you can admire the beautiful village church from 1819, among other things. Further on you walk a bit through the Stellebos, a nature reserve that was created in 1978. In the outlying area you walk along an old dike, vast meadows and along the leafy banks of the Spui.

You walk through the historic heart of Goedereede along the old harbor. In this small town you can easily experience the atmosphere of earlier times through the many well-preserved buildings. No wonder that Goedereede enjoys a protected cityscape! Here you can see, among other things, the fifteenth-century Lighthouse of Goedereede. You will also pass Mill De Windvang from 1791. The last part of the route you walk through the polder and along the mud flats of Flakkee.
