Walking route Landgoed Hackfort : Walking near Vorden

The garden of Castle Hackfort consists of various'forest rooms\\\'. They were once connected with each other by lime trees. Natuurmonumenten reconstructs the old garden as much as possible. Various small-scale agricultural plots and farms can be found around Hackfort Castle. Follow the path between the wheat fields full of flowers and enjoy the beautiful views during the walk. An attempt has been made to restore the flora and fauna of wet meadows in a meadow on Boshuisweg. A unique nature reserve has been created. The walking route runs through a small-scale Achterhoek bocage landscape, with small plots interspersed with cute farms. A weir has been made in the Hackfortsche Beek to regulate the height of the water level. It is not for nothing that the St. Wilibrordus Church of Wichmond and Vierakker was voted the most beautiful church in Gelderland in 2009. The location next to the presbytery is beautiful and the interior is also worth a visit.
