Put on your walking shoes for a trip through the outskirts of Veenendaal. You walk through the Bennekomse Meent and along a historic part of the Valleikanaal.
At Hugo\\\'s Pannenkoeken you can enjoy a tasty meal, after which you go out with enough energy. You walk through the beautiful city park of Veenendaal, then you walk through the Binnenveld. This meadow area is rich in birds and is considered a quiet area. Ideal for exploring on foot. In addition to peace and space, you will also find some old farms.
Then you walk along the Bisschop Davidsgrift for a while. This historic canal was dug in 1473-1481 under the direction of Bishop David of Burgundy for the purpose of reclaiming the surrounding areas. Today, the Bishop Davidsgrift is part of the Valley Canal that was constructed just before the Second World War to reinforce the Grebbe Line. Through the blue grasslands of the Bennekomse Meent you walk back to Hugo\\\'s Pannenkoeken!
