Cycling through Gouda and the surrounding polders

Reeuwijk is located on the medieval Breevaart, where you can cycle past beautiful buildings. You then pass through the Reeuwijkse Hout, a damp forest area. Then you look out over the Reeuwijkse Plassen. Here you will see beautiful wooden quays and reed collars. The route also takes you through Haastrecht, a picturesque town. Then you cycle into the Krimpenerwaard. Get some fresh air and enjoy the natural beauty and tranquility. In the town itself you can still experience the atmosphere of a bygone era thanks to the many old buildings. Just like at the end of your route in the historic heart of Gouda. Be sure to stop at the Beijersche barn, shop & tearoom along the way! Here you can enjoy coffee and tea and take some cheese and regional products with you.
