The beauty of the Herikhuizerveld

In the Veluwezoom National Park you can enjoy walking across the heathland of the Herikhuizerveld. You also walk through the woods at Buitenplaats Beekhuizen.

From Buitenplaats Beekhuizen you walk along the edge of the forest to Velp. You will immediately get into your rhythm here in the fresh forest air. You walk a short distance through a leafy neighborhood where you can admire some beautiful villas. Then you walk into the woods. In this gently rolling landscape it is nice to relax while walking along quiet paths. Every now and then you have beautiful views of flowery meadows.

Herikhuizerveld
From the forest the landscape suddenly opens up and you find yourself on the Herikhuizerveld: a vast rolling landscape. What a pleasure to walk here. When the heather is in bloom in late summer, you have purple-tinted views here. Spread out a blanket and enjoy the silence and beauty at your leisure. A little later you climb back into the woods: cool off under the canopy. A refreshing terrace awaits you at Buitenplaats Beekhuizen!
