Description
You can take a varied walk in the outskirts of the Brabant village of Diessen. You walk through the farmlands, through the forest of Landgoed De Utrecht and through the Leemputten.
The Utrecht
You quickly get into your rhythm as you walk past meadows, fields and beautiful farms. A little later you walk through the woods on the edge of Landgoed De Utrecht. How wonderfully quiet it is here! Then you walk through the valley of the Reusel. Along the stream you see meadows, brushwood and deciduous trees. An ideal walking decor!
The Loam Pits
Just past Diessen you walk through the Leemputten. Loam was once excavated here to bake bricks. The wells that were created were filled with water. Through the management of the Brabant Landscape, the lakes were transformed into a special nature reserve. Here you walk through a small-scale landscape of moist forest, scrub and wet grasslands.
