Rozendaal, Gelderland, The Netherlands
Hiking route: 804818

Just above the village of Rozendaal you can take a beautiful walk through the forests of the Veluwezoom National Park. You walk between oaks, beech, birch and conifers.
What is immediately noticeable: it is wonderfully quiet here! Ideal to leave your daily routine behind! After a while the landscape suddenly opens up: you step onto the Rozendaalse Veld. This extensive heathland area has relatively many, albeit small, height differences. That only makes the landscape even more beautiful.
After you have walked through the forest again, you will pass the Emma pyramid. This former lookout mountain was constructed in 1891 as a job creation project, from the top one could see whether a forest fire had broken out somewhere. Ten men died here in 1944. The route ends at Buitenplaats Beekhuizen.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
