Family walk among lakes and birds

Just below Nederweert in Limburg, you can take a nice walk with your family through the Sarsven and Schoorkuilen nature reserve. Then you can enjoy a refreshment at IJsboerderij Gommers. From IJsboerderij Gommers you quickly walk through the Sarsven nature reserve. A boardwalk takes you through the damp parts of this area.  What a beautiful walk here! The adjacent Schoorkuilen is a relatively newly developed nature reserve that is officially part of Het Sarsven and De Banen. The fen was once much larger, but its surface area has been considerably reduced due to agricultural use. That doesn't mean you can't fully enjoy the natural beauty here. You see willows and bank plants, along the Wessem-Nederweert canal you look out over the rippling water. At IJsboerderij Gommers you can enjoy a refreshment on the terrace.
