Near Zwolle you will discover a beautiful part of the IJsselvallei. A real cycling gem where you can enjoy views and sights. Your route starts at Restaurant-Snackbar-Partyservice De Spikke. From the dike you have a beautiful view over the lakes, hedgerows and grasslands of the Hoenwaard near Hattem. There are some beautiful small-scale nature reserves here. You can cross the IJssel on a ferry, a fun experience. Then you drive through the outskirts of the village of Oldeneel. You can cross the IJssel again with a ferry, after which you cycle along the Buitenwaarden. With its pristine, swampy meadows, this nature reserve is one of the most bird-rich areas along the IJssel. You drive along the Soestwetering, a centuries-old canal. In Vorchten you will see some monumental farms and the thirteenth-century village church. A nice atmosphere!
