Boekent
At Herberg de Brabantse Kluis you can park and possibly drink a cup of coffee before you set off. In the countryside you walk on small roads where almost no cars drive. Here you will find a characteristic old landscape of fields, small forests and stream valleys. You walk through Boekent, a hamlet that originated from an estate of the Teutonic Knights. You can still see many well-preserved farms.
Gemert
On the edge of Gemert is the Volksvriend, a flour mill from 1887. At the end of this square you can take a look at the St. Jans Onthoofding church from 1437, before you pass Gemert Castle a little later. This castle originally dates from 1391, the current main building dates from 1740.
