Description

Around Borculo and Eibergen you cycle through the Berkelland, a region that takes its name from the Berkel river. You can enjoy the peace and quiet and many sights here.

The Creator
You can immediately relax during the first kilometers as you drive through the scenic landscape of meadows, fields and forests. You drive a bit along the Slinge, one of the streams in this region. Beltrum is the first village on your route. Further on you pass the sand martin wall on the Het Noasman estate. In the nice Eibergen you can get off at Museum De Scheper. You will learn more about regional history here.

Mallum Mill
On the other side of the Berkel you will pass the Mallum Mill from 1748. At the Saxon farm across the road you can make a pit stop at Restaurant Het Muldershuis. The monumental octagonal church from 1858 in Haarlo is called De Kluntjespot (sugar bowl) by the residents. Borculo is a beautiful town on the Berkel, in the old city center you can see some sights, such as De Stenen Tafel, an eighteenth-century water mill.
