Eibergen is a nice village to walk through. You pass a few sights, such as Museum de Scheper. You also seem to be taking a step back in time along the Berkel.
Ter Braak
Shortly after the start you will pass Museum de Scheper. This museum is located in a characteristic villa and an adjoining authentic farm. You can learn more about the regional history here, and there is also work on display by poets such as Staring and Ter Braak. You walk through leafy streets to the Berkel, the river where Eibergen is located. You have a beautiful view of reed collars and the rippling water.
Mulders House
On the other side of the Berkel you will pass the Mallumse Molen from 1748. A beautiful spot where you can relax on a terrace at Restaurant Het Muldershuis, which is located in an authentic Saxon farmhouse from 1753. Along the Berkel you walk to the Wandelpark de Mate that is again on the other side of the river. From the parking lot you have a view of the Nieuwe Mattheüskerk from 1935.
