Description

Beek is a beautiful village in the south of Limburg. In the countryside you can easily walk through the hills.

Kelmonderbos
You climb the footpath into the hills. You walk between meadows and fields, occasionally you see an orchard. It is wonderfully quiet walking here, ideal for a relaxing day. You will pass through the Kelmonderbos, a hillside forest where large witchwort and wood anthorn grow.

Chapel
In the valley of the Keutelbeek you can see poplars and marshy fields. The nature reserve flows into a landscape park that belongs to Genbroek Castle. You can see the Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, which consists of a lot of glass, dating from 1954. In Beek you will pass the St. Martin's Church, among other things. The current building dates from 1910, its thirteenth-century predecessor had become dilapidated and was therefore demolished. You can also see some beautiful buildings on the Markt.
