From Helden in Limburg you can walk straight into the woods. Put on your walking shoes for a beautiful trip through the Heldense Bossen.
Landweer
From Brasserie De Zoes you can walk into the Heldense Bossen in no time. You can fully enjoy the silence and the vast nature here. Ideal for a day of relaxing in nature. Here you walk through a series of coniferous forests, small-scale arable land and tufts of heathland. Right through the forests there are still remnants of the old land defense: a raised earthen wall that was planted with thorny shrubs to stop traveling gangs of robbers.
Monument
At the edge of the forest you pass the Memorial Hiding Camp Bovensbos. The camp was betrayed in July 1943. Further on you will pass the Monument'Traces that remained\\\'. This commemorates the men from Helden who were deported to Germany for forced labor. A little further on you will pass the fifteenth-century St. Lambertus Church. Centrally located on Mariaplein is a monumental village pump from 1865. At Brasserie De Zoes you can enjoy something tasty and a specialty beer after a walk.
