Description
Nistelrode is a nice base to explore De Maashorst Landscape Park. This route also takes you through the sights worth seeing village of Uden.
Museum
At Eetcafé't Pumpke you can first grab a terrace before getting on your bike. You drive into the Brabant countryside with its fields, grasslands and long-fronted farms. In Vorstenbosch you pass the monumental St. Lambertus Church from 1932, further along is the Windlust flour mill from 1860. In Uden you can take a look at the Museum for Religious Art, which is located in a centuries-old, inhabited abbey.
Maashorst
De Maashorst is one of the largest contiguous nature reserves in North Brabant. Here you drive through a varied natural and cultural landscape of forests, heaths, drifting dunes, fens, meadows and winding streams. It is wonderfully quiet here, ideal for a day of relaxation. In the middle of this area you can visit the Slabroek Nature Center to learn more about the Maashorst. The center is located in a monumental farm.
