Tour of Strabrechtse Heide and Groote Heide

Around Heeze you cycle through beautiful nature reserves such as the Strabrechtse Heide and the Groote Heide. Your route starts at Heidecafé De Strabrechtse Heide. From here you immediately drive onto the Strabrechtse Heide. The heath is grazed by a herd of authentic Kempen heath sheep, an ancient scene. Soon it's time to get off again: at the Birdwatching Point on the vast Beuven! In Sterksel there is a statue of an ox: the local inhabitants made it to remember the reclamation activities, in which fourteen oxen were used. The Saint Catherine's Church is also worth a visit. You can also fully enjoy the succession of forests, heaths and fens in the De Groote Heide nature reserve. From the bridge over the Kleine Dommel you have a beautiful view of this meandering stream.
