Tour of Strabrechtse Heide and Groote Heide

Around Heeze, you'll cycle through beautiful nature reserves such as the Strabrechtse Heide and the Groote Heide. Your route starts at the Heidecafé De Strabrechtse Heide. From here, you immediately enter the Strabrechtse Heide. The heathland is grazed by a herd of authentic Kempen heath sheep, a centuries-old sight. Soon, it's time to dismount: at the Birdwatching Point on the expansive Beuven! In Sterksel, there's a statue of an ox: local residents made it to commemorate the land reclamation activities, which employed fourteen oxen. St. Catherine's Church is also worth a visit. In the De Groote Heide nature reserve, you can also fully enjoy the interplay of forests, heathlands, and fens. From the small bridge over the Kleine Dommel, you have a beautiful view of this meandering stream.
