Want to relax with a walk through nature? Then visit the woods on Flevoland. This route takes you through the Hulkesteinse Bos.
Zero narrow
The route starts from Erkemederstrand, a beautifully situated campsite on the beach of Flevoland. From here you walk a bit along the Nuldernauw. You have a beautiful view over the water, on the other side is the Gelderse Vallei. A view that makes you switch back automatically. You pass the Nijkerkersluis that separates the Nijkerkernau from the Nijkerkernau. Then you walk along the edge of the forest and the vast meadows.
Spakenburg
The Hulkesteinse Bos is located in the ancient catchment area of the river Eem. As a result, the soil consists of a mix of clay, sand and peat, so that you can see many types of trees and plants while walking. The Hulkesteinse Bos is incredibly quiet, a pleasure to walk. Walking along the edge of the forest, you regularly have vistas over the Nijkerkernauw. From a beach you can see Spakenburg on the other side of the water, for example.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
