Cycling through Tilburg and the border forests

In the border forests south of Tilburg you imagine yourself in another world. How quiet it is here! In Tilburg itself you will pass several sights.

Paradise Bridge
You cycle straight onto Landgoed Gorp en Roovert. Here you will find a mix of agricultural lands and a lot of old forest. In Gorp you will see a number of beautiful monumental farms and a nineteenth-century hunting lodge. Just past junction 50 you cross the Rovertse Leij via the Paradijsbrug. A name that does this beautiful spot justice! In the adjacent Landgoed Nieuwkerk it is also wonderful to cycle on the path between the forests.

Willem II
From Alphen you cycle over the Bels Lijntje: the former railway between Tilburg and Turnhout. Nice and quiet kilometers through the green! In Riel you take a refreshing break at Den Overstap, after which you cycle back onto the Bels Lijntje. Via the old Bredaseweg you cycle to the center of Tilburg. Here you see, among other things, the white Palace-Town Hall from 1849 of King Willem II. You also pass the cozy, beautifully renovated Piushaven.
