Cycling along the Maas near Den Bosch is wonderful. You will find peace, space and natural beauty. You can visit nice museums in Kerkdriel and Alem.
Roof Tile Museum
From Café restaurant Treurenburg you cross the Maas. From the dike you look out over the floodplains and the river. In Kerkdriel you can visit the Driels Museum, which is housed in a beautiful old school building. You will learn more about local history here. Further on you pass through Alem, a village located on an island in the Meuse. You pass the former Reformed Church from 1640, which now houses a roof tile museum.
Ferry
You can cross the Maas again with a nostalgic ferry. You drive on car-free roads through the sparsely populated polder between vast grasslands and fields. Get some fresh air while enjoying the silence. You will have no trouble switching back here. Further on you drive past the Rosmalense Plas, a leafy recreational area that was created from a sand quarry. You cycle back along the Koornwaard nature reserve to Café restaurant Treurenburg. Terrace!
