West of Breda it is wonderful to make kilometers through the countryside. You cycle through the polder and characteristic villages, such as Sint Willebrord.
Wedding church
Near the starting point of your route in Leur, on the corner of the street, there is already a sight to behold: the Wedding Church from 1614. At the old harbour, you can see De Lelie, a beautiful corn mill from 1804. In the countryside, you cycle into the polder. Where peat used to be cut, there are now several unspoilt nature reserves with flowery grasslands, alders and willows. You pass the Zwartenbergse Molen, a polder mill from 1889.
\\\'t Heike
In Hoeven you will pass the striking monumental Sint-Jan de Doperkerk from 1929. Further on is De Toekomst, a corn mill from 1862. According to tradition, Sint Willebrord was founded after the Eighty Years' War by Spanish soldiers who had stayed behind. In the center you will cycle past the nineteenth-century Procession Park. You will cycle back to Leur through the fields.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
