Cycling through the nature around Deurne

At Palingpaviljoen Rijpelaal you can grab a terrace before cycling into the countryside. On roads where there are hardly any cars, you cycle through a mosaic of forest, streams, fields and meadows. You will also pass the Bakelse Plassen. In Milheeze you pass the Sint-Willibrorduskerk. South of Deurne you cycle a bit through the Galgenberg, a nature reserve also known as the Liessese Bossen. You pass the Johanna-Elisabeth, this flour mill from 1844 is one of the few bottle-shaped mills in the Netherlands. A little later you drive into the vast coniferous forest of the Brouwhuissche Heide. Berkendonk is a recreational area that has been constructed around a lake. You drive through the forest here for a while, before you get off at Palingpaviljoen Rijpelaal.
