The beautiful nature of 't Gooi

From Bussum you can drive straight into the varied nature of't Gooi. You also cycle through beautiful places full of cultural history. Plan enough time to enjoy this beautiful route!

Fortress Weesp
You then cycle on a car-free road through the polders with their moist meadows, ditches and wetlands. You pass the Meermolen/Onrust, a polder mill from 1809 that was used to drain the Naardermeer.
Weesp has no less than 200 national monuments, no wonder that this picturesque town enjoys a protected cityscape. Here you can see, among other things, the Torenfort on the Ossenmarkt.

Bussumerheide
Nigtevecht is also a charming gem on the Vecht. From the cycle path you have a beautiful view over the rippling water of the Wijde Blik, one of the Vechtplassen. From the woods of the Spanderswoud you drive via Natuurbrug Zanderij Crailoo to the Bussumer- and Westerheide. At junction 80 you are almost at the highest point of the Gooi: the 36 meter high sand ridge that is called Table Mountain. What a beautiful spot!
