Hiking route 757391
Provided by: route.nl
This route is part of the Ster van Dwingeloo: a multi-day walking package that takes you through the idyllic surroundings of Dwingeloo. On this route you walk through the countryside to the nature reserve Leggelderveld. From B&B De Ster van Dwingeloo you walk across the Brink. Here you can see some nineteenth-century farms, the former Schultehuis and the beautiful fifteenth-century Sint-Nicolaaskerk. What a beautiful atmosphere! Then you walk on car-free roads between extensive fields and meadows. Just before you cross the Dwingelderstroom, you will see a boulder on the left that serves as a monument to a downed American bomber. To the right is a rough patch of land with a fish pond. The Leggelderveld may not be well known, but no less beautiful for that. In this nature reserve you will find a mix of forest, dry and wet heather and poor grasslands.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
